Michele has been involved in the music business for over 25 years as a professional musician. She has played and worked in a range of musical styles including rock (international touring on bass with avante-garde legends Pere Ubu since 1993) https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/best-female-bassists/; hip hop (guitarist/bassist for the production team The Jettsonz (Nina Sky); folk (guitarist/bassist with Hannah Reimann’s Joni Mitchell retrospective Woman of Heart and Mind); world music (music director/guitarist for ensemble Little Horses). Michele has also been bassist/guitarist for various French music ensembles featuring Marni Rice; guitar in the subbing pit orchestra for Broadway (Wicked and Motown-The Musical) and The Big Apple Circus; bass and guitar in Off-Broadway productions (In The Heights, Vagina Monologues, and other shows); lots of sidewoman work in all above styles and including classical and early music, flamenco, jazz, and plenty of uncategorizable.
